Builders of Kochi are discouraging the use of river sand and are maximizing the use of m-sand for constru...ctions .The builders association has directed all the construction in Kochi to be done with the help of m-sand, and they are limiting the use of river sand only for plastering.The builders took the decision as the price of river sand is skyrocketing and now it stands at Rs 60 for one cubic feet.This decision was taken as the Supreme Court has directed to limit the use of river sand for the construction purpose and several state governments have restricted the excavation of river sand.The builders Association of Kerala are also encouraging the use of m-sand for any kind of construction and even for plastering purpose.

M-Sand can drastically reduce the cost as it does not contain impurities like river sand has, and wastage is almost nil. M sand is only appreciated by known users knowing the great benefits of it over river sand. They can used separately for concrete and plastering purpose.
